disappointment headphones

So my old headphones were in the crumbling stage of life

Notice the piece of tape keeping one of the speakers from dangling(you cant see this but there is also a rattling piece of plastic in there as well).

So we decided to get some new ones. 

 We found these nice looking Bluetooth headphones and it had AMAZING reviews; almost all of them were positive.  When they arrived they looked really good and then we charged them then we installed them.  They worked great until I tried them on Skype and then my hours of hell began.  The pain started when I realised that one of the reviews said these worked great with Skype; but not for me, in fact these were completely USELESS with Skype.  the headphones didn't want to work with Skype and sometimes Skype didn't want to work with the headphones!

I use Skype a lot so I can talk to my friends while were on the Minecraft server so I need some good headphones to talk with.  but these wont do so I will have to use the broken ones until I get some better ones WITH A WIRE

OH FLIP APPLE

 This is my new ipod touch

It should have come on Saturday and we don't know what happened but it came today.

In case you don't know yet(?) I LOVE THIS THING

3 Things I love about the apple ipod touch 4th gen:

1. great quality - its very fast you can also barely see the pixels
2. downloading skype onto it practically makes it a mobile phone
3. minecraft. nuff said

I haven't really had the chance to see all the stuff it can do yet, but I will have a look at it and I might post more!

costume making: day 2

I did some work on my cosplay head yesterday.  One idea to making the face is printing it out and sticking it on to the box.  We downloaded the skin to paint on the other computer resized it and printed it out.

 Unfortunatley the paper was too small and we had to print it into two sheets (the ink was running out as well).  I decided we should paint it instead.  We got some A3 paper and drew a grid on it (this took a bit of measuring up but we managed).  We mixed the colours and started painting

I just got to the hair mouth and nose then left it to dry.  Next time I'm going to do the skin tones (I think there are 4 tones).

costume making: day 1

I found some cardboard under my bed and so I decided to use it for my minecraft cosplay.  We have cut the box down into a cubeish shape and I am designing what the head will look like.  I was thinking maybe we can use a transparent purple sweet wrapper to cover the eye holes because Steve somehow has purple pupils.  The box has a bit of stuff on it and we need to cover that up before we can paint the design.  we are going to have to do a lot of paint mixing to get the colours right, I need blackish brown hair colour and beigeish brown skin colour.

cosplay

I am going to be cosplaying as Minecraft's Steve at London Comic Con in July.  He is the main character in Minecraft, a game you have probably heard of.

I have been to comic con at least two times now and I felt I should get into the cosplay thing that is popular there.  I have seen people dress up as mostly anime characters and a few Doctor Who characters and a Minecraft Israphel.
